What You’ll Be Doing

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll balance hands-on care, team leadership, and quality oversight to ensure the best outcomes for our customers.

  • Respond quickly and professionally to new enquiries
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and families
  • Handle concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a focus on resolution

Communication & Collaboration

  • Keep staff informed of rota updates, care plan changes and service developments
  • Adapt communication styles to suit different individuals
  • Maintain accurate, clear records at all times

Rota, On-Call & Operational Support

  • Help maintain stable rotas and step in when needed
  • Participate in the on-call rota approximately once per month (1 week at a time)
  • Provide occasional out-of-hours support and manage urgent issues calmly
  • Ensure clear handovers following on-call periods
  •

Working Pattern & Expectations

37.5 hours per week on a 4-week rolling rota

  • Week 1: Early shifts (7am – 3pm)
  • Week 2: Late shifts (2pm – 10pm)
  • Alternate weekends required
  • Days off provided during the week to balance weekend working

On-call: Approximately once per month

  • One full week of on-call (Monday evening to Monday morning)
  • Paid as part of your salary

Travel across East & Mid Devon and West Somerset is required

Salary & Benefits

£27,500 per year (inclusive of on-call)

  • 28 days holiday
  • Paid travel time and mileage (where applicable)
  • Ongoing training, development & career progression
  • Supportive, close-knit team culture
  • A genuinely rewarding role where you make a difference every day

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in domiciliary/community care
  • Leadership or senior care experience
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and CQC standards
  • Confident with care planning and digital systems (PASS or similar)
